Root-End Filling

  1. Surgically access the root-­end.
  2. Resect 2 to 4 mm of the root apex.
  3. Prepare a Class I root-end cavity preparation, 3 to 5 mm deep, using an ultrasonic tip.
  4. Isolate the area and achieve hemostasis.
  5. Dry the area.
  6. Gently compress MTA Plus material, mixed with gel a putty-like consistency, into the root-­end cavity.
  7. Remove excess material and clean the area.
  8. Rinse gently.
  9. Confirm placement with a radiograph.
  10. Close the surgical site.
